The original Silver Needle tea from Fuding, Fujian from 2023.
This Fuding Silver Needle tea is the first harvest of Fuding White Tea in March 2023. Just like our Silver Needle from 2020 , this one comes from our trusted white tea plantation, which is located 600 m above sea level in Tai Mu Mountain in Fuding. The area around the tea plantation has the purest air. This Silver Needle has been laboratory-tested to be free of pesticides and fertilizers. The tea has a refreshing, juicy sweetness and a very floral aroma.
This 2023 Fuding Silver Needle was roasted over charcoal. Roasting our Silver Needle as a white tea is done when the moisture content is only about 10%. We do not roast Silver Needle directly after harvest. Only in the later stage, when the moisture content in the tea cells is only about 10%, can oxidation take place. The tea cell membrane loses its function due to lack of water. To ensure the nature of white tea, tea is only roasted briefly over charcoal.
Of course we recommend this tea in the Gong Fu method in a gaiwan so that the aroma can fully develop and you can enjoy the maximum taste.
