This flat kyusu is handmade by Hirotaka Umehara, the second generation master of Gyokko 玉光 Studio. The surface is hand-carved and decorated with patterns that add beautiful texture to the teapot. The tea strainer is particularly fine and is suitable for filtering the finely chopped leaves of Japanese green tea.

A Japanese teapot perfect for green tea that needs a low temperature, for example, sencha and gyokuro.
