Wuyi Laocong Shuixian Oolong (no Yancha/Rock Tea)
Harvest: 05.2020. Cultivar: 60-year-old Shuixian. This Shuixian Oolong comes from the Wuyi mountain area and has a fruity sweetness . It is charcoal baked with low fire and has a bakery warmth. It has a similar taste to Wuyi Yancha but less mineral.
Some shops may sell it as Yancha, but we don’t taste the “rock rhyme” a Yancha has. However, it does not stop us from purchasing this tea because it is a really comforting and delicious Oolong from the Wuyi mountain. One that makes a good daily Oolong tea, especially in cold seasons. It tastes amazing no matter one brews Gongfu style, in a big pot or in a metal thermalflask for on the way.
