Semi-handcrafted from pure Duanni from Huanglong Mountain⛰

Chinese ceramic kungfu teapot / gongfu teapot
Our Duanni Qinquan and Dianni Lianyi are from exactly the same batch of Duanni clay (mined on the same date in the 1990s on the same spot in Huanglong mountain, processed and collected by the same Yixing clay collector). These two little pots were also made by the same Yixing artist on the same day.
The teapot is handcrafted from original Yixing Duanni from Huanglong Mountains (half handmade with a mold), perfect for Chinese tea ceremony, to enjoy kungfu tea or as an artistic collection.
Duanni is a sand clay that is naturally grayish green before firing and yellow after firing.
Duanni is highly porous, Duanni teapots are breathing teapots due to their high porosity. It absorbs the mineral and the essential oil in tea and becomes smooth and shiny after frequent use. Duanni teapot is also very flexible, it can brew all kinds of tea, but it is best for black tea and Pu Erh tea.
The volume of this teapot is about 150 ml. Similar to most Yixing tea pots too. This form of teapot is known in China as Qinquan.
This teapot made of clay is well suited for the preparation of dark teas such as black teas, Pu Erh teas or oolongs.
